A Prototype, not the final model
This is the second version of the Utho Kikkar model, and has been tested & benchmarked on STM32N657 and ESP32S3. We built it as a working prototype to implement our complete idea on both boards. It isn't finalized.
We'll build the final model at SIH 2026, improving on this iteration.
The kikkar
Kikkar is more than a tree. It is a living piece of our heritage, deeply rooted in our folklore. For generations, its twigs were used each morning as a datun. Just like the Kikkar tree grows and thrives in the harshest weather, our model is designed to run well on the most constrained hardware, needing only about 35 KB of RAM at its peak.
Our languages
Voice assistants wake to English keywords. We wanted something that felt like home, something rooted in our culture and folklore. Our model is built to wake to Indian languages, on a bilingual phrase "Utho Kikkar". This makes sure that new tech doesn't dilute our culture, but carries it forward.
